Being the work of a world-renowned architect by name I.M. Pei, the Museum of Islamic Art is one that has the largest collection of Islamic art in the whole world. The paintings here were collected from three continents over a period of 1400 years. The interiors are astounding with unique geometric patterns of the Islamic world that makes it suitable to visit at night.

Katara Cultural Village

The Katara Cultural Village, otherwise known as the Valley of Cultures is the number one place to visit for thespians, architecture and art enthusiasts. The cultural village has an opera house, an amphitheater, heritage centers, an art gallery, many academic facilities and an information center among others.

Aspire Tower

Also known as The Torch Doha, the Aspire Tower is a 300-metre tall skyscraper hotel which gained even more fame after hosting the 15th Asian Games hosted by Qatar in 2006. The tower is the tallest structure and building in Qatar and this makes it one of the various reasons to visit here. The tower has an amazing 360-degree rotating restaurant located at the very top to appreciate the view of the city. It also has a panoramic swimming pool on the 19th floor.

Barzan Towers

The Barzan towers were also built in the late 1800s and renovated in 1910. They were used as watchtowers to ward off the possibility of an Ottoman invasion at the time. Following the defeat of the Ottomans years earlier by the local military, the generals believed they still had reasons to be apprehensive, which is why they were constructed. The towers have been used for another service over the years for the inspection of the new moon during the holy month of Ramadan for accuracy.

Villagio Mall

Villaggio Mall is the most famous and biggest shopping mall in Doha with all international brands and a huge food court with a wide variety of food options. There are also restaurants, movie theatres, Gondola theme parks for kids and a wonderful Gondola Ride influenced by the common boat rides in Venice that are usually taken by couples. This mall is just the right package for tourists in the city.

The Pearl

Pearl is an artificial island located offshore of Doha’s lagoon area and is much famed for being the first land in Qatar to be available for freehold ownership by foreign nationals. That’s amazing! Also known to be one of the popular places to visit in Doha, tourists enjoy their time here to shop in the many high-end retail shops in the vicinity, or just walk along the beautiful boardwalk overlooking the eye-catching marina.

Sealine Beach Resort

Sealine Beach Resort, an oasis of tranquility, is located amidst the dunes of the Arabian desert by the blue waters of the Arabian Sea.
