Kempegowda International Airport (BLR) is one of the major airports in Bangalore which is the capital of Karnataka, India. It is located about 30 km (19 mi) north of the city near the suburb of Devanahalli. The airport was opened in 2008 and it was named after Kempe Gowda, the founder of Bangalore.
