Denpasar Ngurah Rai Airport (DPS) is situated in Tuban, between Kuta and Jimbaran, close to the tourist attractions of Denpasar, Bali’s capital in Indonasia. It is among Bali’s primary airport, located 13 km (8 mi) south of Denpasar. This airport was opened in 1968 as Pelabuhan Udara Internasional Ngurah Rai by then-Indonesian President Suharto. The city is known for its cultural and historical attractions and festivals such as the “Art festival”.

Bali Provincial Public State Museum

This museum, also known as the Negeri Propinsi, is an excellent place to spend a few hours if you’re traveling with young children. The museum provides a wealth of information on Bali, including its history, culture, and diverse traditions. The Public State Museum of Bali is located in the center of the province’s capital. This is one of the island’s most important museums, as well as one of the city’s oldest landmarks. Over 10,000 unique exhibits are housed there.

Bali Arts Festival
If you travel between June and July, be sure to attend the Art Festival, which is a fantastic event for the whole family. The Taman Wedhi Budaya Arts Center hosts this festival every year. It’s a much-anticipated festival in which dozens of village musical and dance groups compete against one another while putting on stunning shows. A massive 6,000-seat amphitheater hosts some of the events. This event is an excellent opportunity to learn about traditional Balinese culture. The Ramayana and Mahabharata ballets, in particular, are captivating and magnificent.

Pasar Badung Market
This market, which is one of Denpasar’s largest, is ideal for purchasing the greatest groceries and merchandise. In fact, shopping is one of the best things to do in Denpasar, Bali, because the city offers one-of-a-kind handmade goods and natural products that can’t be found anywhere else. Fabrics, handicrafts, accessories, and more are available for purchase about a kilometer from the city center and can be taken home as delicious keepsakes. You can easily spend an hour or more here and explore a side of Denpasar that is rarely seen.

Bajra Sandhi Monument
Looking for things to do in Denpasar? Visit the Bajra Sandhi Monument to begin your sightseeing in Denpasar. This historical monument was erected to honor the Balinese people’s struggles. The monument was built in 1987 and consists of 33 dioramas that depict stories from Bali’s history and preserve the island’s numerous cultural aspects. After the big bell used in religious rites, the monument is named Bajra. The location has public restrooms, food booths, shuttle buses, and a big parking lot, among other amenities.

Ngurah Rai Mangrove Forest
This one is for the wildlife enthusiasts. The Ngurah Rai Mangrove Forest covers 1,373 hectares and comprises about 7,500 square meters of nursery plots dedicated to conservation and educational activities. This mangrove is home to some of the most endangered mangrove species. The thick mangroves of this reserve are home to around 62 different bird species and ten different reptile species.

Shark Island
Denpasar city offers a variety of activities, including museum hopping. If museums and temples aren’t enough for you, embark on a sea adventure.
